mmm…CAKE!!

Chickens and Fish

Yesterday was a very busy day in the Tasty Cake Pop kitchen. I was busy making birthday cupcakes for my wonderful husband, a chicken cake for my nephews 2&3 year old classroom, a lamb cake for my niece Isabella’s 5 yr old classroom (which I will be finishing today,) and last but not least more cake pops for Easter. The oven was doing OT yesterday, but it did smell great in here! Warm too!! Here are some photos below. The cupcakes were a fishing theme. Our nephew who is TCP’s official cake tester REALLY enjoyed licking the frosting off. Oh and my sister being silly.

Speaking of frosting I decided to try a new recipe and……well….I did not care for it. The frosting was gritty which is not something I care for. It did have a great flavor due to the lemon extract though. Will stick to my regular butter cream frosting in the future but always good to try new things. It’s how we learn.

Lamb pics to follow when I get it done, which I better get off the computer if I want that to happen.
Have a CAKE-TASTIC Day everyone!
